    I recently visited Mackinac Island. I was in a couple of different fudge shops. My favorite was Joann's fudge. The fudge was smooth and creamy. There is many flavors to choose from. The shop was very busy and the girls behind the counter were very friendly and quick at getting the fudge you wanted.

    I must tell you that while visiting Canterbury, England I came across a fudge shop in the old village which smelled wonderfully familiar. I stepped inside and they asked if I would like to sample a piece a fudge. After tasting it, I said it tasted like Mackinac Island fudge and was told the recipe came from Mackinac Island. I was so surprised! I've lived in SC for 19 years and having grown up in MI miss your wonderful fudge so getting the chance to have it again, even if in England, was a pleasant surprise. I have ordered some for my daughter's birthday and am looking forward to sinking my mouth into that wonderful sweet confection once more.
