The Mountain Ridge Course carves through heavily forested highlands with expansive waste bunkers and tree-lined fairways, culminating in a 200′ climb and spectacular views. Despite its challenging layout, four teeboxes on each hole make Mountain Ridge very playable, with distances ranging from 4,956 to 7,007 yards.
On Crystal’s scenic Betsie Valley course, play amidst sparkling creeks, tranquil ponds and lush meadows. Water comes into play on nine of 18 holes and its isolated fairways are accented with wildflowers and flanked by towering pines and hardwoods, creating memorable, picturesque play. You may take a cart or walk the Betsie Valley.
This 18 hole championship course is tucked into the windswept hills of Benzie County highlands. Champion Hill is distinguished by its scenic, open, rolling, heather lined fairways, large contoured greens and distant views of Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, and Platte Lakes. The highlands links design features open, rolling bluegrass fairways with many elevated teeing areas, and raised contoured green complexes.
An 18-hole championship course situated just 30 miles southwest of Traverse City, Pinecroft is nestled in the gently rolling hills overlooking the length of beautiful Crystal Lake. Pinecroft has earned a FOUR STAR RATING in the latest “Golf Digest’s Places to Play.” Pinecroft is just minutes away from the lakes, sandy beaches, picturesque resort villages and great restaurants that make the area a unique vacation destination. (We also have a sister course, Champion Hill.) Open April through October.

The Natural Beauty of Interlochen Creates a Memorable Golfing Experience
Mistwood Golf Course is legendary for fast greens, bentgrass fairways, extraordinary beauty and a great restaurant & bar. Since opening in 1993, Mistwood has established a reputation as one of the finest public golf courses in Northern Michigan. Challenging but fair, our three courses complement each other perfectly to provide the consummate golf experience.
Crystal Lake Golf Club is situated near the stunning Crystal Lake, offering impressive scenic views and abundant wildlife, as you play through our two sets of 9-holes.
Set amongst the highlands and rolling hills just south of Portage Lake, this Jeff Gorney designed course winds through stands of hardwoods, pines, and orchards. The breeze from nearby Lake Michigan leaves little doubt that you’re up north. The fairways are thick and lush, and the greens are soft enough to hold well placed approach shots. There are four set of tees on each hole with total yardages ranging from 4437 to 6569. Scratch players will be challenged by a slope rating of 139 from the tips. Average golfers will need to play well and execute solid shots to score below their handicap, from the blue tees. However golfers of all levels will find The Heathlands to be playable and enjoyable. A practice range and two putting greens are available so players can warm up before their round.
Located on the Platte River, Sunny Woods offers a variety of lodging accommodations ranging from clean, comfortable motel rooms to cabins, and campsites. Every motel rooms has a small refrigerator, microwave oven, in-room coffee, phone, cable television and air conditioning. Rooms are available with either a single, queen-size bed or two, full-size beds. The heated, full-size swimming pool and kids play areas are located on the resort and available for all the motel room guests. The onsite convenience store is open evenings if you desire a quick snack before relaxing for the night.
Crystal Rentals rents privately owned “vacation” homes throughout Northwest Michigan. Our rental properties are located in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Manistee Counties and include over 70 of the nicest seasonal and year round homes in the region. Choose Lake Front, Lake Access, or River Frontage on a variety of lakes and rivers in the area, including Crystal Lake, Lake Michigan, Big or Little Platte Lakes, Herring Lakes, the Betsie and Platte Rivers; all located in Benzie County. We also have rental properties on other lakes in the region, including Long Lake, Bass Lake, and Silver Lake in Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties. If you are looking for something closer to town, we have homes in Frankfort, Beulah, Benzonia, Honor and several near Interlochen, Traverse City, and Lake Leelanau.
