Drummond Island Resort – Recreation
0If you have a genuine appreciation for the outdoors, you will enjoy many of the self-guided and structured activities contained within. Over 60% of Drummond Island’s 87,000 acres is state owned, and Drummond boasts of 150+ miles of shoreline. There are far too many activities and sites to experience in a week’s time. And Drummond Island is not just to be experienced in the summer, but in all four seasons.
Drummond Island provides a very unique setting for outdoor adventure and activities. Our residents create a number of activities throughout the year. Our island businesses support most of the needs of residents and visitors alike. Drummond Island is positioned at the eastern tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula – a region that is quickly gaining in popularity. Our neighboring communities also offers an incredible array of services, attractions and activities. Popular areas such as Sault Ste. Marie and the Soo Locks, The Les Cheneaux Islands-area which includes Hessel and Cedarville, and the Mackinac-area each offer wonderful day trips.
